Castnet Care
Description
When your castnet gets stiff use fabric softener to bring it back to the way it was when you first bought it. Put some water in a bucket. Add 1 cup of fabric softener to the water and mix. Add the castnet to the bucket so that the mesh is totally submerged. Let it sit in the bucket for one hour. Remove it from bucket, rinse and let dry.
Never store a castnet in a bucket with water for more than a few hours. Also make sure there are no left over baitfish in your net when you store it. When you leave a net with left over baitfish in water the dead fish will create ammonia which will destroy your net. After each trip rinse your castnet and hang it out to dry overnight. Then store it in a dry bucket.
