Balloon Rig
Description
This rig consists of a circle hook tied to the end of the line, usually with a shock leader. A balloon is tied up above the hook to the line. Above that tie a stopper knot or a swivel to stop the baloon from riding up the line. The stopper knot can be a uni knot with both ends clipped off. The resistance of the balloon will set the circle hook for you, even on fish such as Tarpon.

Spam 3 Year(s) AgoThis is a great technique for fishing down in the keys. Use a crab or live pinfish for bait. Make sure the bait isn't close enough to pop the balloon however. -
